The Lo’ Sound is a radio show produced in Hobart, Tasmania. Encompassing the many sub genres of Doom Metal and Stoner Rock. Each week we present a running theme to the show and try to collate music and bands that fit said theme.
The Lo’ Sound started in October 2023 by Stu after the concept came to him whilst conversing with an intergalactic space goat during a period of trans-dimensional sleep apnea. The goats name was Andy.

He’s got a love for doom and stoner rock that’s as intense as a camping.
When he’s not presenting radio, Stu enjoys romantic walks to the fridge, invisible art collecting and moonlighting as the awkward weird guy at local gigs.

Andy Static
Andy, the encyclopedic bass player turned radio co-host of The Lo’ Sound.
With his pun gun loaded, Andy can rattle off obscure music trivia faster than a grey hound on a sugar rush.
When he’s not doing community radio, you can find Andy over at City Boy Underground Studio cutting up some riffs with Tassie’s finest musicians and creators.
